Apostles' Creed

The Apostles' Creed is a brief statement of gospel truths taught by the apostles. It was not formulated by theologians, but out of the needs of the early Christian church. Christians used it to tell others what they believed and also to confess their faith with one another as they met for worship.
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
